10kw Solar Panels - Advice on Optimising Performance

Hi All

 

Just starting to optimise my solar / battery install.

 

here are the key facts and performance stats 

 

- PV Facing due south 

- 10KW system (420w panels / black)

- Optimisers on all panels (some shading to lower section in evenings) 

- Max daily production - 20kwh

- Max daily peak production - 5.8kwh

- 20kwh battery 

- Eddi solar inverter 

 

 

would value any thoughts on the performance of the system / ideas on how to improve

20kWh seems a little low. 

 

You seem to have a constant base load, can you reduce that?

That does seem low but clearly dependant on what kind of a day you’ve had.

Our system is similar in many ways 10.02 kWp over 3 orientations with 2x 9.7 kWh  dc coupled batteries and an immersun dhw diverter.

Here’s our stats for comparison.

What neck of the woods are you in?

 

We have 2 strings  over 3 arrays all optimised.
