Andehh
Tiler didn't listen to builder about sealing tiles before laying them, tiler figured he'd remove grout afterwards. We now have a large slate wall with extensive dried mortar. Tiler has already spent a day with a pressure washer and diluted brick acid, and it's not looking any better in my eyes. Any thoughts on what I could suggest to him??
Big Jimbo
Is there a DPM somewhere in that wall ? Don't blame you for being upset. That looks pants. I have no idea how you might bring that to a better standard.
Andehh
Yeah, full DPM and there is a 1.5m Canopy above it, also tiled upstands will go below the tiles. Just the colour of the tiles!
markc
I doubt you will get it looking acceptable, I ‘recovered’ a slate floor by scraping (with an old wide chisel) the top of the slate away. On those little tiles it would take a long time
nod
Use a paint brush to apply neat brick acid Was off after five minutes Repeat
