Zehnder Q350 Ducting sizes

I think I’ve decided on the Zehnder Q350 with enthalpy exchanger, however the unit has 160mm duct spigots, whereas the most cost effective silencers and manifolds are 150mm 

I’ve also found some nice streamlined roof vents in 150mm.

Has anyone used a Zehnder unit and reduced the pipes down to 150mm, I’m assuming 10mm smaller won’t make much difference but I’m an MVHR virgin so would appreciate feedback for you more experienced guys

I didn’t buy the Zehnder in the end it’s a bit too big and heavy for where I wanted to mount it.

I have the Vent Axia Advance S, it uses 125mm ducting which worked perfectly with the roof vents which match my roof tiles.

Nice, did you got with the advance s for the f7 filters? I was eyeing up the vent axia plus B, but it doesn’t officially support the f7 filter. It’s a bit weird, because the plus b looks more powerful than the advance S (now rebranded econiq S)

I still have the standard filters at present as it’s only been running a couple of weeks.

The Advance S is big enough for my house and more advanced than the plus B, it’s also quieter apparently

anyone else on here running f7 filters on a vent axia plus B. I don’t really understand why it isn’t officially supported?

Add a separate filter box to increase your choice of filter - which can also be larger & so require less frequent changing.

 

I have the Paul / Zehnder Iso-box DN 160 filter box (though not sure if it's still sold in the UK - I got mine here: https://www.econology.fr/zehnder-comfosystems-caisson-filtrant-isobox-dn-160-filtre-a-pollen.html). But there are other brands available.
