Jimbo37
Hi all, I'm building a parapet/flat roof 2 storey house, with woodburner stove served by flue exiting through wall on ground floor. I cannot figure out how much higher than my (aluminium) parapet capping I need to take the flue. I just can't relate the regs to this configuration (no windows, ridges, neighbouring walls etc). Any help appreciated.
Temp
See diagram 17 row B.. Quote Elsewhere on a roof (whether pitched or flat). At least 2300mm horizontally from the nearest point on the weather surface and: a) at least 1000mm above the highest point of intersection of the chimney and the weather surface; or b) at least as high as the ridge. If it came up through the flat roof within 2300mm of the parapet it would need to go 1m above the parapet. That's what I would do in your case where it runs up the outside of the wall. Remember it also needs to be at least 4.5m above the appliance. If there are any other buildings nearby it should really be higher than those as well. Edit: Row D suggest 600mm above the parapet might be OK but I'd go with 1m. Edited July 23, 2023 by Temp

Thanks @Temp it does/will go through wall. Im angling for 600mm, or less, if possible (but of course must comply and work)
