Hi All

I like to think that I am quite good with my hands and because of this I often embark on projects that end up being challenging. Normally about a quarter of the way in I start to make mutterings along the lines of "What was I thinking!".

My latest project is to lift loosely laid slabs, roughly cast concrete and badly laid crazy paving in order to lay a sandstone patio and path. I started out with "How hard can it be!" and I am now at the "How can it be so hard!" stage.

I would really appreciate some advice on certain aspects from people who know what they are doing.

Good morning and welcome, you are not alone, we all go through the “How hard can it be”, “Why did I start this”, Oh God I’m going to die phases … well maybe not the last one.

loads of info on here by searching past topics and failing that, ask away

Welcome ....

Here's a start. Yes, the Internet is full of shared ignorance, but we all have to start somewhere.
