Help (wee voice).

So we were supposed to be having the brickies back tomorrow but I am thinking of putting them off because I don't think we have enough stuff. We have the slab poured and next stage is mannock bricks and dpm.

So attached is the Typical Jam Detail and Typical Head detail.

1)When will I need the Pro Clima Tescon Varna tape? At what stage?

2)Is there an equivalent performing substitute that is a better price?

3)What width & length ishould I order? (I was going to order 50 rolls but don't know which).

I have read where you order from Germany and will do that.

4)Can I order roof membrane the same way to make a saving, will rooofers allow me to supply the membrane?

Input gratefully received!!

60mm wide is generally what you'll get in UK, with 150 for taping holes for Warmcell-blowing. I used to get 100mm from Baunativ (now less keen to supply to UK, or were when I checked) which has a split backing tape. I rip it down to 50mm. For general use that's enough width for what I need it for. Leave a roll 'un-ripped' for any areas you need wider.

50 rolls seems excessive. I just taped all junctions with windows and doors, and the house is very airtight. I think I used about 12 rolls.
