lngn2 Posted March 13, 2023 Share Posted March 13, 2023 I've just spotted that our builders seem to have taken an angle grinder to joist hangers in the roof rather than use ones with a cup of the correct depth The cuts they've made will substantially weaken the hanger I think?! Temp Posted March 13, 2023 Share Posted March 13, 2023 It looks like a ceiling joist connected to a purlin. Eg the room below is a room in the roof with part sloping ceiling.
