House demolition machinery, 13t digger?

Hi folks

Nearing the time to take down the old house. It's 2 story, stone wall with a ridge about 9m high. I'll have it fully stripped inc roof off. 

Just wondering if a 13t digger would be capable of pushing the walls in safely, or something bigger/ more specialised needed?

D-rigs usually have extra protection for the operator. 

 

All things being equal, bigger is better as it allows you to do more remotely and keep people out of harms way.

I think it would be worth getting a demolition firm in to do this.  Worth checking them out on the HSE database https://resources.hse.gov.uk/notices/search/standard/default.asp

and do make sure they have insurance and RAMS.

More than adequate. I pulled our 1.5 story red brick bungalow down with a 1.6l VW golf and a long chain.

talk to whoever provides recycled hardcore in your area, could find they will knock it down feed it through their crusher and take the crush.
