markharro
We are currently getting a quote for PV. We have 3 phase so interested in installing max 11kw instal. I have also enquired about battery storage although we prob cannot afford it. Installer has reverted "The only 3 phase battery available at this moment is solax, and would come in at £8000+VAT for 11.6kWh of storage and a hybrid 12kW" Can anyone explain what this means? What is the "and a hybrid 12kW" bit? Thanks
TW9
I read that as a 12kW hybrid inverter with 11.6kWh of batteries. No solar panels.
joth
"The only 3 phase battery available at this moment is solax.." You can always install 3 single phase hybrid inverters with batteries, one per phase. Probably works out a lot more expensive though. Alternatively you can do a single phase AC coupled battery independent of the PV, but then you'll need to navigate G99 or G100 rules on export limits. The hybrid inverter comment means the inverter can have PV connected and handle battery charging all in one unit.
