Larsen
New extension plus redone (2023 spec) floors to most of my house, ready for wet ufh, BUT I have one room, built in 1982, floor is Concrete/cement over substrate. This has no insulation layer, but I'm not inclined to dig it up! What's my best option.... use overlay boards with a some insulation properties, or ignore the fact and chase into the floor to install pipework? How much of a difference is there? Anybody with experience of retro-fit onto this kind of floor? Thanks in advance

Jilly
Don't bother with ufh without tons of insulation. See lots of threads on this, you'll spend a fortune heating the ground.
