Gasgavalar
Hello everyone, a previous owner has fitted cork tiles over the chipboard flooring and as we wanting to insulate under the floorboards, it all has to come up. Due to the uneven surface we now have (the tiles were glued down) we will be changing the flooring. Asking which is better; 18mm chipboard or 18mm OSB? wozza
What spacing are your joists - 18mm is fine for 450mm or less, 22mm if wider or if you want a more solid feel.

Thanks for replying. Haven’t lifted the cork tiles yet to see the spacing, got to work out how to get up all the nails in the chipboard once the tiles are up.
