Door lock broken - snapped🤨

The door latch has broken and is wedged into the door keep. Found this little gem out when I went on the hunt for a new light bulb.

 

Bemused to say the least. 

 

Anyone have any good ideas for this Christmas pantomine🤨

I've always thought that if I ever had a problem in that area I'd be reaching for an angle grinder. Never had cause to try it out though, so could be fraught with issues!

Yes I’ve had this one, at least you have an open slot to get through and should be able to wiggle the bolt back enough to get door open (failing that angle grinder). I had to drill out an anti snap euro cylinder to get a door open and it was a pig of a job.
