bigandyt
Hi there, We recently renovated the house and had it re-plastered. I've just noticed a large gap between the window frame and the surround see the following pictures. It seems to be causing a draft into the cavity wall. Its been a long time now and probably too late to get them back so I thought id try and resolve myself. Would like some guidance on how to fix properly. Would spraying expanding foam into the gap and then going over with filler be ok, or could anyone with experience direct me the best possible way to proceed. Sorry if the above is a stupid idea. Thanks in advance, Andy
MikeGrahamT21
A good elastic expanding foam (Illbruck FM330 is ideal) and then filler to finish
Vijay
I'd go expanding foam and them decorators caulk so it won't crack
