Hastings Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 In a new build in Scotland are there regulations available to view online somewhere? I can only find reference to BS docs, and nothing on this forum. I want to put traditional round knobs on traditional (new) frame and panel softwood doors to bedrooms at height of 850 where the main door rail is.
craig Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 This might help @Hastings if still required https://www.gov.scot/publications/building-standards-technical-handbook-2022-domestic/

For something that gets used more than light switches and sockets it seems odd to leave it out of the guidance.
JohnMo Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 What are you trying to find out? Our last house was subject to building control inspection, internal doors had round knobs, no comment from them. This time we have lever handles, not expecting any comment on them either. If there is no defined regulation, you just fill your boots and do what suits the application. 1
