Hello, currently removing skirtings from an older house and noticed the plaster in the halls has this patterned effect.

Just wondering if it’s anything to be concerned about?

We had an asbestos survey done in the rest of the property and all came back negative.74DBA39D-E767-4497-A623-0A521A89BB1D.thumb.jpeg.13c787b244ce457abd16e7bc00ee6d5b.jpeg

I'll hazard a guess that this has been skimmed over artex.

Depending how old the property is, regardless of asbestos survey already done, a small sample of this will need testing, they wouldn't have been able to test what they can't see

Thanks,

Might look into getting it tested, but it honestly just looks like plaster that has been ‘swirled’.

Looks like Artex.  If it is left it is harmless.  If you are going to remove it or sand it down, get a bit tested.

I’ve ordered a test kit.

Although isn’t artex white?
