Paul A Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Hi all I want to connect to a local authority sewer system but it is a reasonable distance (maybe 50m), am I limited to a maximum run ? Thanks
markc Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 As long as the fall is right then no problem with 50m 1
Big Jimbo Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 I think i read not long ago that you had to have accessibility, (manhole) within 20m of a connection to a local authority sewer. Might be worth checking. 1
Conor Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 (edited) You'll just need an inspection point every 22mts, depending on situation. And one within 12m of the public connection. I'm assuming you own all the land and have enough fall etc. This is Northern Ireland btw. Check your applicable BC documents. Edited December 8, 2022 by Conor 1 1

crooksey Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Might be worth looking at a sewage plant, as depending on local authority the installation of a plant and drainage may be considerably cheaper than a connection cost.
