Soakers on Dormer

Hi All

 

i can't seem to find the accepted answer to this and a Google image search shows both! 

 

Soakers "under" or "over" the vertical battens for the cladding?

Soakers over - they can be bent out to be replaced if the cladding needs doing first. 

 

Could also just just create a secret valley and be done with it.

If the cladding was of a type that needed a membrane to deal with any risk of wind blown rain/snow getting through (like hanging tiles) then soakers should be behind the membrane. eg so water running down the membrane ends up on top of the soaker and then out through the tiles.
