benben5555 Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Hi, we are cladding part of our house in larch featheredge weatherboards. It needs to be painted black. Any suggestions on brands of paint / stain? Looking for something that is a nice matt black but keeps / enhances the wood grain. Also, any suggestions on suppliers of 200mm wide larch featheredge would be greatly appreciated!
Onoff Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Bedec Barn Paint? This is satin: It covers ridiculously well. This is 3 coats.
Jilly Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 I've used a lot of Bedec satin barn paint and love it. It's acrylic, so probably not as breathable as the manufacturer makes out and it is very dense, with good coverage, so it doesn't show the grain per se, if you are looking more for a stain/oil type finish.
