White streaks on new roof

Hello. I’d appreciate any advice please. We just had a new clay tile roof with a cement ridge completed. Now we are seeing white streaks from the cement ridge running down the tiles and spoiling the look of the new roof. Is there anything we can do to remove the steaks? Will they wipe/brush off? We were warned there was a small chance of this happening so it’s really disappointing to see. Thanks for any advice.

take it off and replace with a dry ridge. couple days work tops.

That wasn’t possible as we were joining an old roof to a new extension and it was a bit bumpy apparently. We’re going to try to clean it.

Nearly two months later the mortar from the ridge is still streaking down the tiles. Should I be asking for this to be redone? It's streaking down onto my solar panels which have only been in place a couple of weeks so definitely ongoing. Any ideas why this is still happening? Thank you!
