Which pedestals for patio?

New build in progress.

Patio to have porcelain pavers (probably 600mm square) on "self levelling" pedestals. Level base. Max 450mm height of patio surface from sub-base.

Qu: Any recommendations for
a) Pedestals? (supplier/manufacturer)
b) Porcelain pavers?

I’ve used quite a lot of these Most brands

Jouplast are the market leader

But expensive

450 sounds high

250 is the highest I’ve used

I used Jouplast (from Wickes). but they seem to be selling less of the range every time I look.

Non level base, pedestals range from as low as possible to probably up to 200-300mm high.  Easy to do and very easy to change your mind and re do it all.

We used 1200x400 20mm thick porcelain tiles.

@SlivenClod Our sub base was the remnants of a building site (type 1, gravel, sand etc). All manner of stuff that was well compacted and not particularly level.

I levelled the spot that each pedestal sat on before placing the tiles on top. It all looks nice but if you were to lift the tiles up it’s as rough as a badgers arse underneath.
