Block Paving, Porcelain Tiling or Stone

I am looking to redo our driveway, the side of the house and the patio area soon.  I am not sure what material would be best, or a mixture of materials would be best.  Would having Porcelain tiles be more cost-effective than block paving due to it being a larger format tile?    Is block paving for the driveway then tiles of the patio the best way to go?

Have you looked at imprinted concrete? I have seen many drives done and they look really good even after years of use.

terrible stuff. non porous and like tarmac many councils require planning application to seal driveways.

 

block paving would be cheapest and easiest.
