Has anyone fitted the silent gliss recessed curtain track? Does the track need to be fixed every 200mm or is 600 (every joist) ok

I have not used this system but they specify fixing centres for all the tracks.

The fixing distance is different depending upon the particular track you're installing.

 

Look at the relevant technical catalogue in the "Downloads" section on the right of this page of their website. The spacing for each model is in there.
