Cable identification

Digging post holes and hit this, any ideas what it is? Only about 300 down

Looks to be grey (is it really or is that just what the picture shows) so most likely armoured telephone cable.  Dig a bit either side and push it over a bit for your post.

 

Wrap the bit of outer sheath you have damaged with self amalgamating tape.

It is grey, now encased in concrete, cable followed the line of the boundary so hit it in all 10 holes. Ta
