Guest Alphonsox
I need to freshen up a few radiators in the current house. Does anyone have any recommendations for suitable paint and painting techniques for white radiators.
Barney12
The Rustins or International radiator paints are fit for purpose. If you can spray them they will look 100 times better. If they are simple flat panel ones then its not hard to do. Satin is more forgiving than gloss.
PeterW
Wipe down with sugar soap then use EasySand on a cloth to key the surface. Plenty of protection all round with card / paper and then spray with the Plasticote rad paint. Two coats, one when the first is touch dry and at right angles to the first. Then leave it an hour and turn the heating on low and open the windows as it will stink ..!!
Onoff
Top top.....if you want to mask things like TRVs then don't faff around with tape and newspaper, just use kitchen foil and scrunch it around the object you don't want sprayed. Works a treat on under bonnet wiring too.
