Dee
I've totally forgotten how to do this next job! Did loads but a long time ago I can remember taking the aluminium beads out, and for reasons I cannot recall I was advised to put small rubber wedges in, one on the bottom left and one top right side.... Any idea why ?? Then the glass went in, the beads snapped back and finally the rubber gasket on the inside.....
ProDave
If it's an opening window, I understand the wedge at the bottom goes at the hinge end, so the weight of the pane is taken at the hinge end. If you put the wedge at the outer end, the weight may distort the frame. The top wedge goes at the opposite corner.
