Hi

If running cable for an induction hob in a kitchen island, what’s the best way to run the cable.

I’m digging footings next week so the slab has not been poured yet so can run the cable under the insulation or on top of it, what’s the recommended way or regulations for this.

Just a hob or ring main too ..? If it’s a 6mm for the hob (current dependent) and a pair of 2.5 for a ring main / sockets then use 40mm waste pipe with  slow bends or pairs of 45 degree sockets on the ends to bring it up where you need it. Pin it down to the insulation and concrete over.

We used 4 ducts (75mm) 1 for gas, 1 for electric, 1 for water and 1 for comms. Put the the whole lot under the slab and up through the dpc with custom seals I made.

6mm or 8mm for the hob and yes probably a ring for some sockets and the led lighting for the handleless rail
