NottsTony Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 (edited) Hello I'm looking for a manufacturer of RAL-coded uPVC fascia boards to replace rotting timber items. I want these to be wood-grain, possible foiled. Lots of suppliers provide the standard 5-6 colours eg mahogany, golden oak, anthracite etc, but I'm looking for 'Nut Brown' and 'Clay Brown' RAL 8003 & 8011. Does anyone out here have experience of this????... Any help gratefully received! Edited April 27, 2022 by NottsTony Missed text out
markc Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Very expensive to have extrusions in a specific colour, but upvc paints very well with car paints (as colour matched plastic bumpers). This would be much much cheaper than a manufacturing plant stopping the line for a specific colour run.
NottsTony Posted April 27, 2022 Author Posted April 27, 2022 Thanks markc - I hadn't thought of that - a good idea and probably very durable ! - I'll keep using an autobody shop in mind if I can't find ex-factory items somewhere!
Simplysimon Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 lots of one man and van with spray painting upc lettering on the side these days, buy the cheapest woodgrain effect and have them sprayed, could do your windows and doors at the same time.
NottsTony Posted April 27, 2022 Author Posted April 27, 2022 Thanks Simplysimon - your suggestion builds on that from markc earlier, and although this idea takes me down a different route than I'd originally intended, both of your suggestions make a great deal of sense....thank you!
bassanclan Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 You can try GAP they do a lot of upvc, the only place I could find what i wanted at the time.
NottsTony Posted April 28, 2022 Author Posted April 28, 2022 Thanks bassanclan - Had never come across them before and having googled them, they are in Stoke, so only about 45mins from me! I'll be taking a good look at what they can offer.
