April 21, 20224 yr Looking into replacement of 30yr old uPVC windows and doors. Wanting alu-clad but can’t afford it. Found online ordering from WoodenWindows.com, sister company to Stairbox. Has anyone used them before, and if so, any feedback? thanks!

April 23, 20224 yr Get 3g pcv windows. When we were looking for Windows we saw some pvc windows with nice minimal profiles and in a massive range of colours and looked great. About 50% less than aluclad and the same performance. Cheap wooden windows would be the last thing I'd buy. Edited April 23, 20224 yr by Conor
July 12, 20224 yr Author We decided on wooden windows. They look great and are a big improvement on the 30yr old uPVC things that had blown glazing! order process simple, loads of options, simple to fit. V happy! Yes, they will need some maintenance but happy to do that in order to save the 4-5k over the other alu-clad timber products we were quoted for. Edited July 12, 20224 yr by CotswoldDoItUpper
