We have had an offer accepted a plot of land, solicitors are taking forever to sort out the paperwork. Not even started and you've discovered a fundamental of self-building: everything takes longer than expected or reasonable or normal. The only way I coped with that annoyance was to redirect the stress caused into planning in ever greater detail. And still I wish I'd done more than I managed.
