Quick question, regarding placement of a stud wall that joins in line with a block wall.  The block walls will be wet plastered, PB on the stud wall.  How far back should I set the stud wall from the block wall  instinct tells me about the thickness of a piece of plasterboard?  I've attached a diagram.  I've been told to double the PB on bathroom walls aswell so, is that then double PB on both sides of the wall.  Whilst I'm at it, I've beefed up the perpendicular stud wall to 5*2, so I can run some MVHR ducting up/down.  Should be no issue running MVHR ducts in studs should there?

Set the studs tight against the block

Studs ceilings need skimming before the wet plaster

Hessian  stud and ceiling to block Or 100 mill fibre tape Not 50 mil tape

I put the stud wall in line with the blocks, but now I'm thinking this might not have been the correct approach, Should I have stepped the wall out by 10/15mm or so to account for the dabs on the back of the PB, that will run over the block/stud join?

Just don't dab, set a full board across the block wall and stud. Use hammer in fixings on the blocks.

Good thinking. That'll work.
