UFH issue

Recommended Posts

Over Christmas the controller for the UFH was switched off We didn’t notice Till we stopped using the wood burner

Most zones had dropped to 16

I switched the controller back on and the floors slowly started to heat up

I’ve noticed today that while 1 & 4 are showing a flame on the stat

The actuators arnt lit ?

Any pointers would be appreciated

Controller isn’t seeing the stats - are they wired or wireless ..?

If wireless, start by changing the batteries in the stats and check that by manually changing the status of the heating (do these show sun/moon etc..??) and see if they trigger after that.

Thank you to Peter W for responding

Very difficult when someone posts a picture and asks What wrong with this

As you thought not a Plumbing issue

Swapped the stats and actuators

Nothing

Left the actuators off the two effected zones Slowly stated to get some heat in the pipes

Electrical then Put a tester on all the actuators The two effected had no power going out I took backplate off the two effected stats and found a live feed had snapped
Half a day for me

Half an hour for a good electrician

Great feeling when those caps pop up on the actuators

Misread blue tops.

Down here, there is a group of female, cold water swimmers. They are called The Blue Tits.

I wish the ones that park in the road, blocking in legitimately parked cars, would fail to rise.

glad you found that !! The issue with some of these Heatmiser stats is they need to bend the cables at 180 degrees to get into the connectors and they get continually flexed when the face places are installed.
