Andehh
Hi All, Just some general confirmations please! Am i right in thinking the current regs for new dwellings are: Wall 0.26, Floor 0.18, Roof 0.16? Air Permeability of 8m^3...however for the Consultation version January 2021....they are not actually changing, as they are detailed as: Wall 0.26, Floor 0.18, Roof 0.16 in this document as well? However on our SAP report he details 0.30 for Walls, 0.25 for Floor and 0.20 for roof? Can anyone unconfuse me please?
ADLIan
They are the limiting, backstop, values - in practice your u-vals will need to be much better. Your sap report contains the current values, the lower numbers are in the new AD L effective from June 2022
Andehh
Thanks for the quick reply & just so I am clear ...the lower values (Wall 0.26, Floor 0.18, Roof 0.16) are the bare minimum required for new AD L - June '22? The ones our SAP report showed (0.30, 0.25, 0.20) are the current regulations? Edited December 23, 2021 by Andehh
ProDave
The SAP report should show what your house has been designed to, which hopefully will be a lot better than the bare minimum. I would want to be talking to your architect to re design the building to improve those values you have at the moment.
Andehh
We have received the SAP numbers that are around 10-25% improved to the "high numbers" as above (current regulations), in theory averaging out to comfortably pass the June '22 (next gen regulations) numbers as well. Going a meaningful step further is a £10k bill from the builder, which we can't afford sadly! Joys of going with a large bungalow !
