MikeSharp01
I am about to embark on the vertical tile hanging for our build and I am looking for recommendations for a good fibre cement cutter / Guillotine, preferably with a hole punch. The little hand held Plier type don't look they will work - but they might be more capable than I think, the slates are 300mm wide. Any body got any good ideas? Hobbiniho
what type of fibre cement tiles are you using? and how thick are they? iv fitted many roofs with Eternit Thrutone Slate and just used a heavy duty metal scribe to scribe them and then snapped them. then used a bosch multi construction bit to drill holes. markc
Scribe and fold (similar to plaster board) for cutting, slaters knife/hatchet for trimming and shaping. Or you could use a grinder and diamond disc but the dust is annoying
