MikeSharp01
We are trying to resolve the details of the junctions between the slate hung walls and the slate roof. We want a crisp junction but have not managed to find a detail for it. The one we have uses a dry verge and secondary trim (The vertical junction is basically the same without the air gap), as in pic but I would like to get to something more like the Belgian house below. Any ideas very welcome.
Kernow
For the join on the slate hanging you could use lead soakers on every course, as per the detail in the picture below for mitred hips. For the roof/wall join have you checked out the easy trim range of products? They may have something
tonyshouse
I would like to see cloakers, similar to soakers but they stop water getting into the verge I like the bottom outside corners of verge slates with 45 degree cut 75x75 i like verge slates tipped up slightly too. I hate the junction between the gable and roof! vertical corner, soakers, yes Edited May 2, 2021 by tonyshouse Missed line
