petewood Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Hello. I have Reynaers patio doors at my property and the handle for the inside door has come off. I can place it back on but it's loose and falls off. Curiously, there is a threaded bolt in the end of the handle spindle place where the handle attaches to the door. The handle has a thread inside. I'm at a loss as to how I thread the bolt into the handle given the spindle is square and means I cannot rotate the handle onto the thread. Noob question I am sure! Any help greatly appreciated.
PeterW Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Remove the two Allen bolts and the handle comes off. Re-fix the handle - doesn’t the cover have a hole in the size of the round handle cross section and the cover rotates ..? 1
ProDave Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Lets see the other side of the handle, a view of the handle on the door for example? Is there a "cap" you can remove to give access to a nut to tighten it on? 1
petewood Posted April 25, 2021 Author Posted April 25, 2021 Apologies for the non-reply to these comments. I'd been waiting for an email to notify me of replies and only noticed today that isn't on by default ?♂️ Thank you both for your replies. It was actually a bit of a combination of the 2. I removed the two Allen bolts and the silver base came off on both sides. A similar Allen bolt is threaded through from the other side into the handle on the inside which I tightened to solve the issue. Thank you for your time.
