Stone garden walls

Hi everyone. 
 

I am moving into this house soon and the surrounding stone walls are a real eyesore. Does anyone have any ideas as to how heavy these walls will be and how much of a hassle they will be to take down. 
 

I am planning on replacing them with standard wooden fences. But is it worth the time and money or would it be best to just try and cover them?

who owns the walls, and what height is the ground behind them?

Looking at the steps going down there are different levels so are the concrete panels acting as retaining walls.
