Pocster
SWMBO wants a tiled wall inside running the full height of the stair well . About 3m wide and 6m high . So this runs from the dungeon up to the ceiling at ground floor . I’ve got to build / board a wall to take the tiles . But what should I use ? . No need for protection from damp/water . SWMBO wants some small tiles ( so probably need a billion of them ) . Rather than tile adhesive could I stick them on with ct1 ? . But stick to what ? Osb ? markc
OSB will be perfect for this, i would use tile adhesive as its cheaper and easier to cover a large area.

I just thought it would be quicker with ct 1 . Blob on tile , stick - repeat x 1000000 Wasn’t sure if tile adhesive would take to osb ... So this type of thing https://www.crowntiles.co.uk/cubics-grey-porcelain-wall-tiles.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwu5CDBhB9EiwA0w6sLfBL8rzaqifupt5BRQ-Ngtt87d3vDtROzBLs8DZSC3Zz8cgSI1s0dxoCkoAQAvD_BwE I presume I can place them tight to each so no grouting ! ? Don’t use CT1, just use solvent based no nails type adhesive at £1.50 a tube if you are doing it onto OSB.

PeterW
And more suitable as you only need a construction adhesive here. No moisture or sealing, no real need for a hybrid polymer adhesive. Why do you think you should need CT1..?

PeterW
Not what I would be using. You want something solvent based that goes off quick so it bonds and doesn’t come off. CT1 isn’t the answer there.
