How would you fit MVHR in this house layout?

Recommended Posts

I may put in a MVHR to mitigate having to open windows, but i really an stuck where to put one if i wanted to.

As suggest by @Nickfromwaleshere are my proposed plans.

One thought is to have the MVHR unit in the garage but would need to penetrate the warm building envelope. The manifold could go in the loft in the master suite.

There could be space for the MVHR unit in the basement under the stairs but it would be really difficult to get the 75-100mm vents through to the upper floors.

You need to have some sort of penetration through the envelope, whether it's inlet/outlet ducts to the MVHR or ducts between the MVHR and manifold.

You may need to insulate more ducting but it depends on layout.
