Panasonic Aqurea 7kw ASHP Review

After a few years of indecision I’m now at the point of actually buying an ASHP. I’m drawn to the Panasonic Aquarea 7Kw unit.
 

Does anyone here have one and could they  share their experience of it?

Yes, 5 year old 5kW Aquarea.

 

I had a problem with the pump giving out after about 3 years. No explanation for why it happened, but we replaced it and everything's been fine since.

I’m also getting Solar PV. How do you integrate that into the mix? I assume you have immersion heaters in the cylinder to dump excess energy directly into the hot water system?

Exactly. 

 

I thought about trying to integrate ASHP usage with PV production, but it's very difficult to do well, and the potential cost advantages are limited given the relatively low electricity bills of the house overall.
