newhome
I have just read on another forum that someone has made a successful claim under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act for an ASHP installation that replaced an oil based system. The supplied product, an LG Therma V split high temperature ASHP, is being removed and replaced with an oil boiler as the system can't heat the house adequately in winter (struggles to get over 17 degrees). LG claimed that it was an installer issue and the installer says it's an LG issue and despite the client involving MCS, NICEIC, HEIS etc. there has been no resolution so he put in a Section 75 claim. Clearly he paid by credit card or a part of the overall cost by credit card which has paid dividends.
ProDave
Do you have a link? So did the credit card just refund the money or are they paying out MORE than the original cost to out an oil system back? A cheap LG ASHP going somewhere if you are lucky.
