Hi folks, I noticed that a few of our roof tiles appear to be slightly raised at the bottom?

Any common reason for this and is a repair needed to get them sitting flat against the rile below?

Thanks in advance ☺

That looks strange, not come across it before with concrete tiles. Can you get up there easily and “jiggle” them about? Unless something is between the tiles holding them up I can’t see why this has happened ?‍♂️.

Thanks for the replies..I will organise a roofer to check it. No obvious issues inside the loft space.

Where we are can get very windy, wonder if the wind has managed to flip them up/move them?

Thank you

Could it be wind, as it can be pretty windy where we are, particularly during storms?

Yes: frankly it wont be anything else.

Look at other houses that have the same orientation and same roof type. Has the same happened?

My instinct is not to worry, but to keep a close eye on it - and other local roofs if you can. A quick look in the roof space is also worth it.

Thank you and I will do. Roofer is due to visit tomorrow. He said he will have a look to see.

I have used him at a previous house and he did not do any work on that roof when he visited, as non required, so he should give me an honest opinion/assessment.

From the picture he wondered if the batton bellow the tiles in question is broken/rotten.

However, during or text message conversation I forgot to mention that we are in an open high exposed windy location, particularly during a storm, as we are the end terrace house.
