Laurence737
Hi Everyone, I was wondering if someone would be able to advise if it is possible to route a waste pipe outside a property to then route back inside and connect to the existing soil stack? We want to install an en suite bathroom to our master, however the land on the external wall is not our land so we will be unable to take a waste pipe straight down. So we wondered if it was possible to exit the external wall, run along the wall of our property to re-enter and connect to the existing stack? Many Thanks Laurence
Nickfromwales
Yes. Been done a hundred times or more. Make the bend on the turn at the rear of the WC an inspection bend for belt n braces. Likewise with the branch indoors, eg buy an inspection branch. joe90
If your wall is against the boundary your soil pipe will be trespassing!, do you have guttering, facia along that wall? If so the boundary may be a little away from the wall. Might be best to speak to your neighbour (as you will need access to his land to do the work) and gauge their reaction. Hi Joe, Thanks for this, we have spoken to the neighbour and he would be fine with this, the space is a "service area" for bikes and bins so he's fine with us routing a pipe, but he didn't want us digging up the area to lay an external drain, which is understandable! Cheers

Thanks The inspection branch would be internal access as you’ll be T’ing in there, but you could get away with 2x inspection bends outside if the branch is going to be inaccessible after completion.
