Demolition Checklist

Triassic

Recommended Posts

We did our own statement and made it very simple.  Recycle,  ready use, burn etc.

Also add a section on keeping dust(water spray)  and noise (no out of hours noise) to a minimum.

We received a notification from EHO to instruct us to serve a notice on neighbours telling them who to approach if they have a problem.

Are you paying for the caravan as our council rate them as band A

Took our LA a few months to catch up to re calculating our CT as Band A, was backdated to demolition date so all good.

The van was in the garden for about a year before that while we arranged services etc.

Now we're in the house, LA have flipped us back to the higher rate CT based on our moving in date but have charged us 50% for the van as it's 'unoccupied'.

I've written to them stating that upon moving our power, water and LPG supply were disconnected so the van is not habitable. Hopefully this will get sorted.

Just a quick update. I applied for the Demolition Notice, over eight weeks ago and on Friday the Building Control guy turned up on site to ask questions regarding the disconnection of services, electric, gas, phone, water an sewer. Once the demolition is done He wants to come back to see that the sewer has been capped off.

We move into the new cabin in the garden today, so demolition starts very soon.
