yan101
Hi all. New to the forum. I'm having a house built by kier who are blaming delays on the garage down to a shortage of bricks in the UK. The bricks they are using are forterra. I have a few mates in the trade who say its news to them. Im just wondering if any guys here are experiencing this shortage or if its just another excuse for delays.

Temp
Ideally you would have all the bricks on site from the start so you can mix bricks from different pallets to avoid colour matching issues. Seem to be some Forterra bricks on ebay. Edited November 9, 2020 by Temp
yan101
Yea I think he's covering up. Theres literally our garage which is a double with next doors and next doors 2nd floor but that house isn't due until Feb. Theres bricks on site but he says they're the wrong colour, they look right to me. This build is now 19 months in so I've heard all the excuses now.
