How much for ten-year warranty cover?

Hi all

I am about to embark on a new-build two-bed project in Bristol. It is 84 sqm and conventional construction. I have had a quote from ICW from the structural defect warranty of £3.3k for £200k of cover. Does that sound typical?

I think you can do better. I was getting quotes around that or less, for a house three times a big.

Yep, just had a quote for less than that for £500k of cover. Our building control folks are in Bristol and they will be covering both building control and warranty inspections which simplifies things a bit and so far (early stages) they’ve been good to deal with. PM me if you’d like details.

Interesting. I'm in Bristol. My building control guy would oversee both aspects, too.
