So..... @Nickfromwales reckons a 32mm pipe / tank connector from my Geberit cistern to any DIY "pan extract" system. But where to put it?

 

Either side is thick rib. In the top of the "box"? 

 

(The M16 washer serving as a nom 32mm dia thingy in the photo).

Deffo in the top plate. Better than compromising the 'tank' imo. You'll have to make the cistern as airtight as poss though. 

Have you thought of pioneering the "vacuum evacuator 3000" ? :D

I have to drill a hole for the 32mm fitting to miss all the Geberit threaded rod flush gubbins but as I've never fitted a flush plate before a bit tentative.....

Cut the excess threads etc off the tank connector and Sikaflex it on. Then, zero projection into the cistern?  

The flush mechanism only affixes to the front of the opening iirc?

I have installed the MVHR side of my system and left the cistern extracts terminated with 50mm push fit connectors.
