Finding out depth of sewer ?

I'm trying to work out how deep the sewer pipe adjacent to my plot is.  Can anyone provide some advice as to how best to find this out ? My first thought was going to be to buy the Scottish water plans through National one call. But will they even contain info on how deep the pipes are buried ? ? I'll pop over to the site later and see if I can find open up any manholes. What other options do I have ? Is there a way to scan for the sewers / depths from the ground ?

yes they do - you’ll get a manhole number and the bottom corner of the map will show the invert level. That is the distance to the top of the pipe from a datum point.
