ollie
Hi all, i've just finished a timber frame house - currently we have a screed floor and will have to save up money to finally lay some engineered wood floor down this will probably take a while so in the interim i'd like to paint the screed floor so it doesn't feel like we're living on a building site. i'm not looking for anything fancy just a matt grey finish , the screed has already been sealed by contractors with a universal primer/sealer https://www.paints-shop.eu/product/optigrund-e-l-f/ any advice on what paint to use, how to apply etc would be much appreciated! thanks Oliver
Redoctober
A Sounds like a plan but it seems the answer is a fairly easy one in as much as what is your preference? As for its application, a quick search on the internet should provide the answers. A quick search using - internal concrete floor paint has thrown up many options. Here are two such results - https://www.promain.co.uk/blog/paint-seal-concrete-floors/ and https://www.watco.co.uk/help-advice/application-guides/concrete-floor-paint-application-guide Good luck. Russell griffiths
I wouldn’t, what if your floor choice requires the wood to be glued down and it won’t stick to the paint. Why not look for some cheap vinyl and lay it in the crucial areas, the money you spend on paint you could spend £200 on some cheap carpet off cuts in the bedroom and a vinyl square in the kitchen. I fully carpeted a whole whole house with carpet from a skip that was being taken out of a big hotel in London, we lived like that for a couple of years.
