Russell griffiths
Is there a way to insulate pipes from giving off too much heat, my design at the moment has a group of pipes running under a section of our kitchen floor, I have seen pipes with a thin duct around them in areas that might get extra wear or movement, is there a way of insulating a pipe so it doesn’t give out that much heat in a dedicated area. I did wonder about cutting every other pipe into the insulation surface and covering with another layer of insulation before the screed just to keep the heat output down in this location. PeterW
Cheap 9mm wall polythene pipe insulation will do. May get away with cutting a wedge out along the back of it and just clipping it over. It won’t move once there is screed over the top of it and if you want to make sure the just pin it down with some heavy wire.
