Ferdinand
I planted up some Mixed Spicy Salad Leaves seeds on Monday evening. The packet said 7-21 days to seedlings, but this was half an hour ago. You could blow me down with a bicycle pump. A_L
Probably the difference between expected outside and actual inside temperatures.
Ferdinand
Day seven and a half. And the seeds inherited from parent all seem to be just about working. Houston, we have a possibility. But I need some seeds, and a visit to the shop this week. Edited March 17, 2020 by Ferdinand

We used to give them to a couple of friends at Christmas. ? But I moderate-carb So I bought 2.5kg Last thing I expected was to be learning to grow veg the spring after mum passed away. But need to do the last list of seeds tonight to pick up tomorrow. Edited March 19, 2020 by Ferdinand
daiking
Scouring the house for potential growing containers. 4 x 4pt milk per week is certainly helping. Found an old 5 litre plastic container used for olive oil. Wondering if I need to thoroughly degrease it or just give it a wash with fairy liquid? Dont have any chemicals beyond fairy liquid, Jif and bleach btw.

One of the problems you may get are sterility. One of my first trays grew compost mould mushrooms (last year's compost) rather than spring onions ! daiking
I am about to clear out the local toolstation of builders buckets as they are cheaper than 15 litre plant pots I have high hopes for the many seedlings I have. This coming cold snap is a real pisser as I started my runner beans too early and really need to get them outside ?
